Due to the ongoing instability in the Middle East region, air freight services have been suspended or significantly disrupted. As a result, deliveries to the affected countries are currently experiencing substantial delays or temporary suspensions. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.


Japan Post – Delivery Delays & Possible Returns

Due to the suspension of air freight services caused by the deteriorating situation in the Middle East, Japan Post is currently experiencing significant difficulties in delivering mail to the region. Shipments to the following countries may take considerably longer than usual. Furthermore, depending on the evolving situation, parcels that have already been accepted may be returned to the sender.

FedEx – Flight Suspensions

Due to recent airspace closures across the Middle East, FedEx has suspended air freight services to and from the following countries. Shipments to and from these destinations are currently unavailable.

  • Israel (IL)
  • Kuwait (KW)
  • Lebanon
  • Oman
  • Qatar (QA)
  • Saudi Arabia (SA)

DHL – High Risk Surcharge & Service Delays

Due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, including airspace closures affecting multiple markets, DHL has announced disruptions to air freight operations in the region. A high risk surcharge now applies to all shipments to and from the following countries. Customers in the affected areas may experience service delays.

  • Bahrain (BH)
  • Kuwait (KW)
  • Qatar (QA)
  • Israel (IL)

What This Means for Your Order

  1. Orders not yet shipped: If your shipping destination is one of the affected countries, your order may be held until services resume. We will notify you of any changes.
  2. Orders already in transit: Deliveries may experience significant delays. In some cases, parcels may be returned to us.
  3. Refunds and reshipments: If your parcel is returned to us due to these circumstances, we will contact you to arrange a refund or reshipment.

Update 2 – March 4, 2026: Delays Now Affecting Europe & Africa

On March 4, 2026, Japan Post issued a follow-up announcement confirming that the impact of the Middle East crisis has now expanded beyond the region. Due to the suspension and disruption of air freight routes transiting through the Middle East, flights to and from Europe and Africa are also experiencing severe congestion. As a result, deliveries to these regions are now subject to significant delays.

  • Air routes through the Middle East are suspended or heavily disrupted, causing a ripple effect on European and African air freight.
  • Parcels already accepted may be returned to sender depending on how the situation develops.
  • Incoming mail from Europe and Africa to Japan is also likely to be delayed.

What This Means for Your Order (Updated):

  1. Orders to Europe or Africa: In addition to the Middle East, orders destined for the European and African countries listed above may now also experience significant delays or temporary holds.
  2. Orders already in transit: Parcels routed through the Middle East may take considerably longer. In some cases, they may be returned to us.
  3. Parcel recall requests: If you would like to recall your parcel before it leaves Japan, please contact us as soon as possible. A ¥680 handling fee may apply.
  4. Refunds and reshipments: Our policy remains the same — if your parcel is returned due to these disruptions, we will contact you to arrange a refund or reshipment.
