The Toy-Con can be assembled while watching the interactive assembly instruction manual. Once assembled, simply combine the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con and Toy-Con to start playing. As you create, play, and understand how the Toy-Cons work, you may discover new ways to play and even invent your own unique gaming experiences. Please note that this kit requires a Nintendo Switch, which is sold separately.

The "Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 01: Variety Kit" includes a variety of Toy-Cons such as a "Remote Control Car", "Fishing", "Home", "Bike", and "Sound". The "Piano" Toy-Con allows you to create, play, and understand five different Toy-Cons including a "Motorcycle" and a "Piano" that can play various tones and compose music. The kit includes 128 cardboard sheets, 3 retroreflective sheets, 3 sponge sheets, various strings and rubber bands, and 4 sets of dovetails. Please note that a Nintendo Switch is required to use this kit and is sold separately.

The Nintendo Labo supports TV mode and table mode. It also supports multiple languages including Japanese, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, German, and Korean. The kit also includes help sheets for "decorating" and "inventing", encouraging creativity and innovation in play.
