For this volume, the Marugame Genichiro Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art re-examined its collection with “cat” as the keyword and discovered more than 700 cat-themed works. The result is a delightful book packed with 690 individual cat appearances, Inokuma’s tender and playful cat drawings, and original texts he wrote about cats.

Alongside a special contribution by poet Shuntaro Tanikawa, this collection not only thrills cat lovers but also reveals the rich variety and evolving expressions in Inokuma’s art through the repeated motif of the cat.
