About the Author
Yoshie Matsumoto, a graduate of Doshisha University with a B.A. in English Literature and a M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Colorado, USA, is the author of this book. With over 30 years of experience as an interpreter and guide, she has guided tens of thousands of tourists from all over the world. She is currently the President of the All Japan Federation of Guide Interpreters (JFG), where she is also in charge of training for those who have passed the National Examination for Guide Interpreters. She has authored several other books including "Guiding Japan in English" and "Introducing Japan in English".
