In August 1976, Lemmy Kilmister, Eddie Clarke, and Phil Taylor gathered at Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s famed Manticore Studio for rehearsals and a showcase with their newly solidified trio.

During this stay, the three recorded together for the very first time. The long-lost tapes from those sessions have resurfaced after 49 years, revealing the raw, unpolished power of the band in its formative days. Carefully restored yet preserving their original intensity, these historic recordings are now finally released as “The Manticore Tapes” in celebration of Motörhead’s 50th anniversary.
