The Kizu Power Pad is a two-layered bandage designed to expedite wound healing through moist healing therapy. The outer layer is a polyurethane film that prevents the intrusion of bacteria and water, while the inner layer is made of hydrocolloid material. This hydrocolloid material consists of an adhesive (hydrophobic polymer) that sticks perfectly to the skin and hydrocolloid particles (hydrophilic polymer) that absorb and retain moisture. These hydrocolloid particles absorb the body fluid that comes out of the wound, swelling to form a gel-like cushion, similar to jelly.

Usage

The Kizu Power Pad is a controlled medical device. It should not be used on infected wounds, acne, eczema, insect bites, dermatitis, wounds with formed scabs, deep puncture wounds, animal bite wounds, wounds caused by foreign objects, or around the eyes and mucous membranes. It should not be used on infants under 2 years of age. Consult with a physician or pharmacist before use.
