The FT-710 AESS series is a compact yet high-performance SDR transceiver designed for amateur radio enthusiasts. It features an advanced SDR receiver circuit, ensuring excellent signal reception and processing capabilities. The built-in high-speed automatic antenna tuner with a 100-channel large-capacity matching data memory enhances operational efficiency. The transceiver is equipped with a band-pass filter (BPF) tailored for each amateur band, ensuring optimal performance. Its robust RF front-end and low-noise oscillator circuit (250MHz HRDDS) deliver exceptional close-in multi-signal characteristics, including impressive metrics such as 2kHz RMDR (113dB+), 2kHz BDR (127dB+), 3rd IMDR (102dB+), and TX Phase Noise (-143dBc/Hz).
The FT-710 AESS also incorporates the Acoustic Enhanced Speaker System (AESS), combining the main unit's DSP-processed speaker output with the included SP-40 speaker. This setup produces a wide, immersive, and clear audio experience, surpassing expectations for a compact transceiver. The dual-core 32-bit floating-point high-speed DSP provides effective interference reduction features, ensuring clear communication even in challenging environments.
The transceiver boasts a 4.3-inch high-resolution TFT color touchscreen display, supporting a 3D real-time spectrum scope (3DSS) for enhanced signal visualization. Additional features include multi-function displays, waterfall displays, and filter/interference reduction function indicators. The VFO Mode Indicator (VMI) uses four colors to provide an at-a-glance understanding of operational status. The "PRESET" mode is optimized for FT8 operation, while the FUNC dial enables quick and intuitive operation. The Quick Memory Bank (QMB) function ensures users can start operations in the best possible state.
For added convenience, the FT-710 AESS supports external display connections via a DVI-D digital output terminal and is compatible with the FC-40 long-wire auto antenna tuner. It includes an SD card slot for recording/replaying communication audio, saving various settings, and storing memory information.
