Born in 1999 in Iceland, Laufey was inspired early on by legends such as Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday. She performed as a cello soloist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra at just 15, later studied at Berklee College of Music, and quickly gained international attention with releases like Street by Street and the EP Typical of Me, both praised by major music publications and fellow rising artists.

Following the success of her debut album Everything I Know About Love, Laufey returns with Bewitched in 2023, delivering another refined collection of songs that combines gentle jazz textures with her distinctive contemporary pop sensibility.
