The medicated hydroxyapatite works in two ways: it adsorbs and removes the plaque that causes cavities while filling in microscopic scratches on the tooth surface, making it smoother and less prone to further plaque buildup and staining. It also replenishes minerals that dissolve out of the enamel, helping prevent early demineralization from progressing into cavities.
