This third full-length album by 19-year-old creator Shiina Mota combines distinctive sound design, innate groove, and intimate, relatable lyrics that slip straight into the listener’s heart. Written as Shiina Mota approached adulthood, the songs reflect on years of music-making, personal values, and everyday struggles and joys, forming a strongly narrative body of work that looks back on life so far while reaching toward the future.
The 13-track CD is structured like a life journey, with each song tied to a theme such as “birth,” “growth,” “conflict,” “glory,” “departure,” “loneliness,” “now,” “tomorrow,” “future,” and “life.” It includes popular tracks first released on Niconico, such as “Shojo A” and “Futsuu ni Toshi o Toru Koto Sura,” whose emotional impact is reflected in thousands of online comments. The limited first pressing pairs the CD with a DVD of three music videos, plus special paper jacket and cover design featuring Shiina Mota’s own illustrations, drawn over a span of five years to visually express the passage of time.
