The active ingredient, glycyrrhetinic acid stearyl SW, was the first in Japan to be approved for "whitening" and "rough skin."

Developed through 40 years of natural science research, ingredient research, and product commercialization technology, this lotion is the result of 16 years of research into Japanese herbal plant-derived ingredients based on the concept of Kampo (Chinese medicine). The active ingredient "W-Glycyrrhetinic acid stearyl" derived from licorice was approved and commercialized by Sekka Sei.

KOSÉ's original whitening and anti-aging active ingredients address two internal skin stagnation problems that impede transparency: melanin stagnation and roughness stagnation. These licorice-derived active ingredients prevent melanin production, spots, and freckles while also preventing roughness, leading to snowy, fresh, translucent skin.

To ensure the stable blending of active ingredients, which are oil-based solids that do not dissolve easily in water, the lotion uses proprietary high-pressure fine phospholipid emulsification technology in a bio-similar emulsion capsule. The small size of the capsule allows for a fresh feel and deep penetration into the stratum corneum, unique to medicated Setsu-Kaisei products.

The lotion provides a fresh and refreshed feeling, with moisture absorbed into the deeper stratum corneum without stickiness. It maintains the skin's freshness, enhances transparency, and leads to bright, moist skin. Directions for Use

Apply to clean skin after cleansing. Use a small amount (about the size of a 500 yen coin) on the palm of your hand or a cotton pad, and blend gently into the skin.
