The ink is suitable for use with fountain pens, glass pens, dip pens, brushes, and Kuretake empty pens. The featured ink color, Perkin Mauve, gained popularity after Queen Victoria wore a dress in this shade at the Paris Exposition. It was the first synthetic dye developed by William Perkin.
