Story

Part 1: High school student Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) accidentally travels back to 1955 in a time machine invented by his eccentric scientist friend, Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd). In the past, Marty meets his future parents, Lorraine (Lea Thompson) and George (Crispin Glover), but complications arise when Lorraine falls for Marty instead of George. Marty must ensure his parents fall in love to secure his own existence while finding a way back to 1985.

Part 2: After safely returning to 1985, Marty is whisked away to 2015 by Doc to prevent a disaster involving his future son. However, an aging Biff Tannen (Thomas F. Wilson) steals the time machine, altering the timeline and turning Hill Valley into a dystopian nightmare. Marty and Doc must restore the timeline and save their town from Biff's control.

Part 3: A lightning strike sends Doc back to 1885, where he faces danger from Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen, an ancestor of Biff. Marty, stranded in 1955, discovers Doc's hidden time machine and travels to the Wild West to save him. While planning their return to the future, Doc falls in love with Clara (Mary Steenburgen), a schoolteacher who changes his life forever.
