Author Profile

Hiroshi Nagai was born in Tokushima City in 1947. Transitioning from a graphic designer to a freelance illustrator in 1978, Nagai has since established a distinctive style with his tropical and vivid landscape illustrations. His work, especially the album jacket for Eiichi Otaki's "A LONG VACATION," has received widespread acclaim, including a gold disc from CBS Sony for "Special Award for Album Jacket." Nagai's influence extends beyond illustration, as he is also known for his contributions to design, DJing, and music criticism. His notable publications include "A LONG VACATION" (1979) and "HALATION" by CBS Sony Publishing, as well as "NIAGARA SONGBOOK" (1982) by Shogakukan.
