This special first-generation G-SHOCK revival model faithfully reimagines the original design and spirit, fusing it with modern Casio technology. The stainless-steel case follows the 1983 original, while the band reproduces the length, shape, and dimple positions, symbolizing a return to the brand’s roots and a renewed commitment to toughness.
The bezel and band are made from biomass plastic to help reduce environmental impact, and an LED backlight improves legibility. The bezel layout with flat “PROTECTION” and “G-SHOCK” areas, the face accented with the iconic red (passion and challenge), blue (water resistance), and yellow (shock resistance), and the brick-pattern motif all pay tribute to the first G-SHOCK. Even the screw-back case and “ShockResistant” wording on the polished caseback evoke the original, with production entrusted to the skilled craftspeople at Yamagata Casio, the brand’s mother factory.
