Makita 18V Cordless Impact Driver with a full-circle ring LED work light delivers shadow-free visibility—up to 2.5x brighter than previous Makita 18V models (Makita internal testing, Dec 2022). Three light levels (High/Medium/Low) plus a Light Mode let it double as a compact work lamp for about 1 hour. Ergonomics are optimized with a rear-offset battery for balanced handling, a slim head, an intuitive variable-speed trigger, and a grip aligned close to the drive axis to help reduce cam-out.
Precision and control come from double ball bearings that minimize bit wobble, a new ribbed bit sleeve that helps prevent marring if it contacts the workpiece, and an approx. 10.5 degrees approach angle for confident edge and corner driving. A rear-mounted, easy-to-read control panel lets you change modes and check battery status without changing grip, and Mode Memory lets you save one favorite setting and toggle between the last-used and saved modes.
