About the Author

Hayao Miyazaki, born in Tokyo in 1941, is a renowned animation film director. His career began at Toei Animation after graduating from Gakushuin University's Faculty of Political Science and Economics in 1963. Miyazaki has been involved in numerous influential projects, including "The Great Adventure of Horus, Prince of the Sun," the "Panda Copanda" series, and later co-founding Studio Ghibli. His major works include "Conan: The Future Boy," "Lupin III: Cagliostro's Castle," "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind," "Castle in the Sky," "My Neighbor Totoro," "Kiki's Delivery Service," "Porco Rosso," "Princess Mononoke," "Spirited Away," "Howl's Moving Castle," "Ponyo on the Cliff," and "The Wind Rises." He is also the author of "Shuna's Journey," "Starting Point," "The Turning Point," and other publications.
