Makita 18V Cordless Impact Driver with a 360-degree ring LED delivers outstanding visibility with three brightness levels and a slim all-around head. The light can double as a work lamp for about 1 hour; brightness is up to approximately 2.5x higher than Makita’s previous 18V model (Makita internal testing, Dec 2022). A rear-offset battery optimizes balance in any orientation, while a rear control panel keeps modes and battery status easy to see.
A new trigger enables intuitive variable speed from low to high. The grip sits close to the drive axis to reduce cam-out, and a 10.5° tilt angle boosts corner and near-wall fastening. Double ball bearings help achieve ultra-low bit wobble (Makita internal testing, Dec 2022), and the new ribbed bit sleeve is kinder to work surfaces. Choose the right mode for the job and use Mode Memory to register a favorite; quickly toggle between the last-used and the saved mode.
