Been using our Balmuda The Range for two weeks now and it's working great. Shipping was super fast – like 3 days. Despite being small our large dinner plates fit perfectly inside. The pull-down door makes it cumbersome to use high up. The Auto mode is really smart and we rarely need to change it to any other setting

We decided to use an Umi 1800W step-down transformer for it even though we were told it would work fine on 110v.

North American users also have to deal with the Japanese grounding system – there's a green wire sticking out of the back of The Range and you have to connect that to ground. We bought a dummy power plug at the hardware store to do this. So as you can see in the picture, the white plug is for the transformer to get power, the orange dummy plug connects The Range's ground wire to the house ground.

The Range doesn't have any kind toast mode, so at best you're going to be broiling bread and flipping it. Works great for bagels.

The door is very sensitive to even the slightest opening, even in Oven mode, so you can't use a wired temperature probe for baking fish or meat. Meater makes a cool wireless one that we're going to try.
