Product Description

This portable kettle is designed for building and construction sites where a power supply is not available, as well as for outdoor camping. It operates using Makita's 40Vmax battery, making it easy to boil water even in remote locations. The Makita batteries can also be used for other devices like cold storage units and radios, which are sold separately. The kettle can function with either one or two 40Vmax batteries in parallel.

With two fully charged 40Vmax (5.0Ah) batteries, the kettle can boil approximately 3.0L of water (kettle capacity: 0.8L). These values are based on a starting water temperature of 23°C and room temperature of 23°C, but may vary depending on battery condition, air temperature, water temperature, air pressure, and other factors.

The base of the kettle is equipped with a handle for easy carrying, making it stable and portable even when filled with water. However, it is advised not to carry the kettle on the pedestal while the water is boiling or with water in it.

The kettle features a double-layer construction made of resin and stainless steel. This design ensures that the outside of the kettle does not get hot, keeping the boiled water warm. The easy-to-use lid prevents dust from entering and leaking. Additionally, the cover, hot water lock button, and spout filter reduce dust infiltration and accidental overflow. Note that the hot water supply lock does not completely seal the water, so a small amount of hot water may leak out if the unit is tilted or knocked over.

The kettle only powers on when properly installed. It also has a scale inside the tank to check the water volume. The kettle operates on a 36V DC (40V max) sliding Li-ion battery, which is sold separately along with the charger.
