Born in 1936, Yokoo is a Japanese graphic designer, illustrator, printmaker, and painter whose works are held by MoMA. Renowned for psychedelic, dreamlike posters of the 1960s, he worked around the Sogetsu Art Center and collaborated with Shuji Terayama, Tatsumi Hijikata, and Juro Kara, shaping boundary-crossing visual expression recognized worldwide.
